Whistleblower rights and protections
Key protections aligned with EU Directive 2019/1937 and similar frameworks.
Protections in brief
We follow principles of confidentiality, secure channels, and prohibition of retaliation for good-faith reports. Local laws may provide additional safeguards.
Confidentiality
Reporter identity is kept confidential and shared only when required by law and after notice where possible. Donor-facing summaries remain anonymised.
Timelines
Acknowledgement typically within 7 days; a status update within 3 months. Complex cases may require more time, but reporters can check status via tracking code.
Anti-retaliation
If you face retaliation, document events and contact a trusted legal aid or NGO. This portal itself cannot provide legal representation.
Safe use
Avoid using employer devices or networks if risky. Remove metadata from files; prefer text summaries when possible.
Limitations
This portal is not an emergency channel or a substitute for legal advice. Rights and procedures can differ by country; consult local counsel for specific questions.
